You would be surprised at the knowledge around here. This is a great thread. I haven't known any of them yet, but I'm trying.
 
Okay, don't want to get too obscure but as was stated above, there's a lot of knowledgeable folks around here, how 'bout this (an inch cropped off the top where the band name was too much to airbrush):

 
Good job on Slint, fellas. Here's another "name that artist". This artist has several other album covers by the same illustrator. They are all pretty twisted. This particular cover is the tamest of the bunch. Hint-wise this artist is also known as a producer and for his association with a legendary and now less-than-youthful indie band.

#65 Bryan Adams would make sense, but it's not. I want to say Duran Duran for the hair, but it's not. Damn.

Here's a crude video I just shot of the unsolved album's most popular song and timeless classic. ;) Familiar to anyone, perhaps the mid 40-somethings?

Sounds awful - I have a lot to learn about posting audio to YouTube. You can hear my daughter objecting around the 1:50 mark. I'm sure you'll all object by then, too.

I have a pretty good one but I can't post until I solve... and that probably won't happen. Sheesh... and my wife thinks I know a lot of trivia. I'll see if I can get her to read this thread.
