That's a P-Mount version of the Chuo Denshi MG-09D "Groove Tool" cartridge.all over ebay for $18.50 usa shipped. gold or black bodies. any interest?
Only noticed Hugo's 2018 mention of a Le Son/Excel PMC-3P p-mount a few weeks ago and decided it would be great to run an ES-70EX and/or an EX-70EX4 stylus in a p-mount table if I could ever get my hands on the cartridge. Luckily, a seller in Mexico was offering the very thing. My current T4P TT's:

Channels are very closely matched at about 320mH per channel, right between the EX4 and EX bodies.
The Excel styli fit the Le Son's stylus insertion area, but the 'wings' of the ES-70 plastic grips will have to be trimmed to obtain full insertion. Will report back with results when I have access to my p-mount tables, and thanks to Hugo for clueing me in to this cartridge's existence.
That was where people with a decent amount of extra cash used to go to buy imported electronics, in the 1970's to the mid 80's. It was also the retailers' paradise. And when the stylus in our Shure M44's broke, we'd replace the cartridge with a Le Son, which was the most popular alternative back when the military ruled and import taxes hit the roof, so we're all very accostumed to the Le Son sound. What a story! Then you probably own the Le Son (or Le-Son) version of the standard-mount Excel ES-70:... The one you got was actually manufactured in the Duty-Free Zone of Manaus, the capital of the Amazonas state, in Brazil. ...

I've found that nearly all my PSX/SER styli show an increase in bass after treatment with a rubber restorer. Not that there's no risk working with chemicals; merely something to consider.bigaltx24 said:...To me it seems a tad too polite sounding for heavier Rock..

Hello. Here again in the forum.
To remind you, I have a Technics SL-10 turntable and three cartridges: Audio Technica AT112EP with ATN440Mla needle; GRADE Prestige Black3 and Technics EPS P30 with Jico ES needle.
In a previous intervention I commented that I was not convinced by the Jico needle and that the AT112 had better performance with the ATN440Mla needle.
After time has passed and increased the VTF to 1.5 grams, I have seen that the Technics EPS P30 with Jico provides greater detail, a better soundstage, and extended, clean treble than the other capsules I have named.
I am using an IFI ZEN PHONO pre with its balanced output.
I wonder if it would be worth spending on a Jico EPS-30 SAS/B or EPS-30 SAS/S needle ($282 and $349 respectively).
I think they're worth more than the Technics SL-10 itself, but if the performance is worth the price, it could make an effort.
Greetings to all.
Great job by Jico!Hello. I have measured the original needle and the JICO substitute in EPS P30.
Original 19.3mm
JICO 20mm.
