I think it was Heinlein, the scifi writer who had a scenario in one of his novels. If you were a criminal you were given two options. You could let them straighten out your mind or they had theis place in the badlands surrounded by a force field. They gave you a years rations and some seeds then put you inside,you survived or died all by your own.

That was Heinlein, it's one of his longer short stories in "The Past Through Tomorrow."

I would like to accidently drop a KHorn or VOTT on this dude from about 15 feet above him. It is one of the few times I would willingly put a speaker in harm's way.

I am amazed at the number of adults who cannot figure out that they are the one with the problem, not the kids, not the wife, not the girlfriend....

That said, I have always been puzzled by the fact that such persons seem to find themselves in relationships.

Oh, I know. It simply amazes me how many people out there have that problem. I would have hoped that the human race would eventually become smarter, but I think that's just a pipe dream.

Perhaps the "relationship" was based upon a physical and not emotional basis.

Executions should be public and high school students should be required to attend. A single bullet to the back of the head of a kneeling prisoner is cheap efficient and final. It's actually quite humane.

No torture, confinement or years of publicly supported appeals and extensions. It's also much less expensive.

As much as I dislike KHorns and even rusty old trucks they are too good for him. One 44 Mag to the base of the skull is more than sufficient.

The book and the movie are quite different...

As to the point, no, that's not the kind of justice we need in the US. Catching someone red-handed is rarely the situation, and it takes time to get forensic evidence back from the lab, despite what CSI tells you.
