But, the beauty of owning classic Mc like that is that if you do your part to preserve it's cosmetic and working state, you'll get every dollar back, and then some when it goes to it's next owner.:yes:

IMO, the 225 is the best sounding stereo toob amp they made.

You may very well be right: It charged up to $1,800+ in no time.

Nice story too - $3,500 for the amp; $1,500 for the tale. lol!

Yup - I'd sure love to drop it in the collection but it's going to do the brains.

Definitely an investment grade piece. Even the original tubes look new.

I've seen MC 225s in far lesser condition than this one - with no paperwork nor provenance bring in excess of $3,000.

Yeah, I was watching that one too. A real beauty at a good price. Wish I could've justified buying another tube amp.
