85 bucks may not be so terrible if you can't find one to make yours run.
I have two myself. My own TD-160 came missing the headshell, I bought one, and later found a good deal on another. Originals are getting stupid in price so a workable sub is not so bad as long as you're not hung up too much on it having original appearance.
At one point I also considered changing the whole arm tube out on my TP-16 in favor of something that would use a standard ADC-type headshell but that sounded like it might require effort. I have a bad case of inertia around here, things that work I don't particularly like to mess with and possibly mess up. If I ever stumble across a TP16 with a damaged arm tube, I'd be far more inclined to experiment on that vs possibly wrecking the good one on the table.
