Tiger Woods Driving School

So he had facial lacerations before he hit the hydrant? I knew there was more to this at 2:25am.

The hydrant was gone on late night news clips. Replaced by an orange construction sawhorse with lights so the other neighbors at Ilseworth don't hit it.

Strange how the very high profile people get to have the fuzz doing their media statements. Also ....I wonder if a look at the car would reveal that none of the doors were operable so much so that a forced entry via the back window was called for. :D The price they pay for being rich and famous.

I kinda feel sorry for him-I don't keep up w/the goings-on of these types of people, but he's always impressed me as being a lot more better-grounded than most of them.

Me too. Guess we'll have to see what the publicist does.

What would Earl say?

Earl woud say" Don't get caught!!" The one rule they always break!

So you're a big star and got a hot wife and a big mansion, lots of nice toys and more money than *edited by moderator* could spend. (This applies to lots of people, not just Tiger)

So what do you do next, have an affair. Or behave in such a manner as it appears that you are having an affair, or be seen at places that looks like you are having an affair.

Why not just get on a saltpeter diet and avoid the grief. Or just take her and the little tigerettes with you on tour. He's bound to have his own jet, and it's not like these tournaments are held in some podunk dump and they'd have to stay at the Motel 6!

Now maybe he was just teaching her how to hit a golf ball at 2:30 am and he was shagging balls in the Escalade. The truth will eventually come out.

I can tell you that if I had the kind of income that he does, I would be triple careful about everything I did. If he was having an affair and this incident was the aftermath of a "domestic incident", he deserves all the crap he gets.

If it was something less sinister, then let the truth be known and it will blow ever.

Yeah, until life gets boring same-old, sam-old... Then one may want some change of favor.

Yeah, until life gets boring same-old, sam-old... Then one may want some change of favor.

If that was the case, he deserves everything that is going to follow.

he got caught putting into the wrong hole and his caddy (wife) was penalizing him for those errant strokes. im sure she smacked his escalade with a club and in his haste to get out of dodge he landed in the rough.

Whatever happened to the old days of "I kiss his balls for luck" and "I'll bet that makes his putter stand on end"...

So the guy is human. It's easy to say what we would do if we were in his shoes with all that money, etc... but it isn't always easy to KNOW what we would ACTUALLY do if we were. After all, to be in his shoes, you have to be different from the way you are... otherwise you'd be in his shoes already!

Maybe he did have an affair. Maybe he didn't, but his wife believed the tabloid reports that he did, and got so angry that she picked up the club and chased him out of the house. Maybe he crashed while trying to avoid hurting her, as she ran in front of the car waving the golf club? There are MANY possible explanations. Who knows what the truth is (besides the Mr. and Mrs. Woods)? I sure don't!

Maybe she was angry, but after seeing him lying there unconscious re-evaluated her priorities and forgave him. Maybe after a potentially near-death experience he has re-evaluated things, as well, and maybe they'd both like to put the whole thing behind them. If so, who are we to deny them that privilege, which any non-famous couple would have? Even if that isn't the case, and it turns out to be much more sordid and ends in a divorce, well, that is their lives, not mine or yours. No one demands that just because someone plays golf very well, they have to be equally perfect in everything.

I'm willing to say that I hope it blows over soon. The world has all too few role models who seem to stay "clean" enough to remain good role models. I'd rather not see another one bite the pavement, er, dust.

Oooh, just read the link at the "bad, bad boy" post above. If that was him, :nono:

Woods' SUV struck a fire hydrant, then a tree, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Tiger, like always, is blaming it on his caddy. It couldn't make up it's mind if it should hit wood or iron.
