A few of us on the great AK Jazz Playlist were batting the ball around regarding starting a CONTEMPORARY Jazz Playlist as a subset of all the great Jazz posted on the generic thread.
So here we go.

The focus of this thread will be CONTEMPORARY Jazz. Worldwide. Living or recent Jazz offerings from contemporary artists. Let the new Jazz fly gents.

Holy cats! I gave this a quick skim via Amazon Music Unlimited. Wow. She's excellent.

"Night Train" is such a good show. I can see why he would have played this as it's big band-esque circa 1945 even though it's contemporary. Very cool. I'll have to listen to this in the next few days.

XM Radio's "Real Jazz" channel has a weekly show on Sunday called "Organized" hosted by Joey DeFrancesco. I was listening this last weekend and realized, wow. This guy really is amazing.

I actually love it, Todd. It's available to stream via the popular streaming services, but I see Amazon has the CD for around $8.00 shipped. I'll probably just order the CD this afternoon. This way I can have it in the hard media archive.
