Today's Frank Zappa Playlist

"Variations on The Carlos Santana Secret Chord Progression" should do the trick

Not sure what you mean....?..

Variations is a guitar solo from "City of Tiny Lites", recorded in 1980. Prior solos from "City of Tiny Lites", specifically in March of 79 were to become what we know as "Outside Now" from Joe's Garage

I thought you were referencing the lyrics where Ike sings "I guess that one did the trick..." with "that one" referring to Joe's imaginary guitar solo.

FWIW, there's another "City of Tiny Lites" solo that sounds similar to Variations that includes "She's Not There"

Check it out on Patinoire des Vernets, Geneva Switzerland 6/21/80

I saw Dweezil Zappa play this past weekend
He and Scheila Gonzales played a duet of Holiday in Berlin from Burnt Weeny Sandwich that was great

Recently ran into a cache of well over a dozen FZ records at my local used record emporium.
Of what I already had and what I had no interest in, I ended up with:

Over-Nite Sensation 2013 re-issue
One Size Fits All 2015 re-issue
Orchestral Favorites original issue
Sleep Dirt original issue

Sleep Dirt is by far my favorite, I can't believe I haven't heard this before. Really goes good with Arriving Too Late...

Was psyched to find a pretty minty copy of BWS on vinyl last week as for play list I decided I need some humorous Frank and I went for a semi classic.
