Jan Dukes de Grey-Mice And Rats In The Loft

Played often in my home since i first found out about it in 1975. What does it sound like...its on the Uk Transatlantic label ,so it must be folk. No! Maybe VDGG crossed with the ISB and Family. That can't describe it. I find many people can listen for a few seconds and have had others thank me profusely. Not one for the masses but so rewarding for the few.

I haven't heard Mice And Rats In The Loft, but I am very fond of my copy of Jan Dukes de Grey's first album, Sorcerers, 1969. I'd compare the sound and style of Sorcerers to the works of Incredible String Band and Dr Strangely Strange of this same period.

I have heard some of Sorcerers and it is on my to get list. Your assesment of it is correct. The second album may fall into the school of "better music through heavy drugs"or something along that line. It seems none of its creators were ever hear from again.
