We knocked out a lot of pizzas today....I recently traded a bunch of food for the following: System Audio SA3070 speakers, Musical Fidelity X150 integrated amp, and a Sony 999ES dvd player.

You ought to appreciate this; I picked up my 6th LaserDisc player today. See what you started. :D

Chicken shawarma and lemon roasted potatoes.

This week I bought some pre-made shawarma spice mix at a local mediterranean deli so I've been going nuts with it.

In the past when I googled "shawarma sauce recipe" I'd actually get pictures of toum, and I've bought bottles of Saha shawarma sauce which is green, so I was a bit confused. The Saha shawarma sauce is tasty but it's more like a chimichurri sauce I think.

In case you didn't catch these when I posted them. Left over slow cooked potroast Pillsbury Grand pot pies. Done these many times with different fillings, next I'm going to try fresh apples or blueberries see how they work for individual pies.

Maybe use this pizza recipe, add some ricotta cheese and make some calzones, the ideas seem endless with these. Even if not handy in the kitchen at all you could pour in some Dinty Moore and have a better pie than you can get at the store.

I followed this recipe, and it tastes wonderful. Easy to make, too. Just don't let it get too warm when processing. Drizzle the oil in, slowly.

I've made toum 4 or 5 times now. It works better for me if the garlic to oil ratio is closer to 1:1 (like the recipe in this video). I'm a single guy so I only make a little bit with a hand held emulsion blender. The garlic to oil ratio probably depends a bit on whether you are using fresh sticky garlic or old dried out garlic.
