Celestion Model 9 speakers at a TS. Any opinions on them?

Ooooohhhhh...................................................

Those are SERIOUSLY good!!
Made in England in the 90's, before Celestion moved production to China.

I grabbed them for $20. They sound good but are a little "bright" for me.

They use a metal dome tweeter.....not everyone's cup-o'-tea?
I have the same tweeter, in a pair of much smaller Celestion 3's.
BTW: For $20.....you literally stole them!

The apparent brightness you are hearing is clarity. They are excellent speakers, in need of very good associated components. I had a pair of 6's and 7's, which used the same tweeter. Very good tweeters indeed!
