Great speakers! :thmbsp::thmbsp: Too bad the midrange and corner are crushed, but you could bring them back.

My favorite JBLs, of the ones I've heard. They are generally held in high regard.

Do they both look that way driver wise? I'd check the output of the tweeters to be sure they're working OK since the previous owner (or TS fingers) turned the tweeter and mid controls up to max, not a typical user setting for JBL speakers.

Obviously in awful shape with the mid crunched and creased, and the woofer surrounds missing. I'll send you $125 to ship them to me for disposal. :D That would probably also be about how much you'll need to spend to get a new pair of mids and the surrounds to DIY your repairs.

here's the tech sheet with info on the speaker and midrange replacements.

If the mids still play ok, you could hold off on the mid replacement till you find a pair or a couple of single mids at a reasonable price. They go as high as $175/pr to about $40 per on Ebay in good cosmetic and operational condition. The refoam is pretty easy from what I understand.

Add about $15 for some Howard Restor-A-Finish in regular walnut and Feed-N-Wax, and about two hours of work on the cabinets, and you'll be done!
