Turntable dust cover bumper replacements?

Turntable dust cover rubber bumpers on the corners of vintage tables covers are usually missing. Anyone come up with a replacement that works?

Look at stick on bumpers for cabinet doors and drawers. I have seen them as small as 1/8" in clear.

I gently drill out the old rubber, then I use rubber cord stock cut to length and press it into the original hole. Good as new and won't move around like the press on bumpers do.

I've cut up O rings for small bits of rubber cord.

A dab of RTV or caulk will work, though looks may not please. Use bits of wax paper or saran wrap to protect the turntable and lower the dustcover with the goop on to level the dots.
