Ugliest speakers?

I've seen pics of some ugly receivers here, but of course no receiver is complete without speakers. So, what's the ugliest pair of speakers you've seen?

I nominate the Kirsch K803's

Not only are they crap, but the speakers on top look like eyes. Even if they sounded good, I wouldn't want them just because I'm not too fond of speakers that appear to be staring at you.

DiVinci speakers are just shiny pieces of turd, I don't think you can get speakers that look much uglier (well at least, ugly as brand new and stock)
I had a pair of frankenspeakers that were way uglier.

Just my opinion - these speakers look pretty damn nice - elegant -

I never really cared for any speakers with the plastic lattice grills. Sansui SPs ect...
 
I have to say that the DQ 10s are pretty ugly -- they are in my living room and so I see them everyday, and its hard not to notice each time I see them that the Quad ESL's look is not improved by making it half again as large. I guess John needed to make them that big, but the increase makes the proportions all wrong. But someone had to pioneer the way for really dorky looking speakers, and at least the DQ10s have the sound to justify their looks.
(By the way, the previous poster who doesn't like the Design Acoustics Dodecahedrons is just wrong. If you have to dominate a room, and weirdly too, that's the way to go.)
 
I'll second the AR3a's. All of em look like ass (at least with the grills off) but sound so beautiful!
 
Okay, Mhardy wins in the "handcrafted" category. But on the higher end of things, I'd say the speakers in my living room have a fair claim to being especially ugly. Von Schweikert VR 4s III. My wife has never complained once, though, to be honest, it sometimes makes me wonder what evil deed her silence about the unbearable ugliness of the VRs is compensating for.

We could post all day about homemade speakers, or speakers that took a severe cosmetic beating, but I'm more interested in the ugliest speaker design... like you see them in the store or in a catalog pic and go "What were they thinking?!"

And while the Ipod speakers look cheap and toy like, they aren't that ugly.

EDIT: yeah, those Von Schweikert VR 4s have that "what were they thinking?!" quality to them.
