Probably the most impressive lp score I have seen to date.Depending on what was paid could be the score of the year lp wise.

Maybe of all time.Given what has been shown I would have bought the whole sh-bang.

I would have had no place to put them all. I'd say 25% of it was very desirable, 25% desirable, 10% $3-$5 (retail), 40% $1 or less (retail).

No pic this morning, just imagine all the early Allman Bros. Rory Gallagher's first band Taste, some Neil Young Crazy Horse era, The Cranberries, Death in June, and tons of other 80s alt.

Almost all of the vinyl is mint. I think the covers have seen more wear in the last 6 months than they have in 20-50 years. The guy was a brilliant collector.

I think that's more of a modern thing to do.

I was doing it back in the 80's and It saved my collection once from jacket damage when my albums were stored in a damp basement for a while. You can believe I do it now that I have things worth money.

There was an article about some Chinese audiophile who has a 7 story building filled with gear and records, something like 100k of them IIRC,

He had a person working full time for him just to manage this collection of stuff!

Thanks Kirk- that almost sounds like a hoarding type of deal. Doubt he's moving anytime soon either.

This's got me wondering who (individually) might have the largest collection of vinyl LP's on this earth? My buddy Jeff, who owns a a nice store, has in the neighborhood of 30,000 he told me. Gotta be somebody somewhere with more...

i have wanted to hear that siamese dream album on a record for 20 years. nice

It's been reissued so many times on vinyl you should be able to get a new copy for less than $15.
