Unbelievable 10,000+ rock records at a YARD SALE!

So, I think I outdid myself. Rolled up onto a yard sale in a nearby community. Guy was sitting under a tent out in front of his house. Two boxes of records on the table. (He had the rare version of the first Kiss record (Mint) out in the heat!) So, he said his wife's father had passed and she inherited all his records, and comics. He said he had 10,000 records in like 30 boxes int eh garage. I spent the next 2 hours culling around 100 records. Another picker came along and scored like 50. My dealer buddy and I went back the next day, I bought 170 more and he bought about 500. It was unreal, ALL the Pearl Jam records, rare imports, Punk, Prog, Psych, this guy had it ALL, and they are mostly mint unplayed records. Anyway, here is just a fraction of some of it for your pleasure. Try yard saling, it's cool...

If the Hendrix, Doors, Jefferson Stooges, Who, and Stones LP's are 1st pressings, then you scored big-time (And even if that "Axis/Bold As Love" is a reissue, you'll still enjoy it if the vinyl is in really-good shape... I'm a big fan of the US Reprise "Axis" pressings). Those Stooges and Ten Years After LP's were nice grabs. Anymore Hendrix/Doors/Stones? That's a healthy stack of great records.

I used to see all kinds of killer '60's and early '70's 1st pressings back in the '80's for a few bucks each, but then vinyl became a "niche" format (i.e., "collectable"), and the prices started going up. And then person-to-person buying/selling became an Eee!!!bay thing, and since then it's gotten totally-out of control.

Yeah thanks, off the top of my head (6) Miles Davis records, Jimi (the axis is mint 3 color first press), UK Electric Ladyland, ru exp, First two Budgie records, Beatles 1 UK, a couple smashing pumpkins, Doors strange days, waiting sun, LA Woman, some girls, ...270 records, my head is still spinning..

Holy....uhh...cow.

I thought I was the only person in the world with that Iguana album. The Juicy Lucy album is excellent. And a Jane Relf Rensaissance LP. I officially hate you! :D

Years of great listening ahead on that haul.......awesome.
Please DON'T tell us how much you paid, as I'm feeling ill already :)

These type of scores, yes I said score, these type of scores don't happen every day. Very cool, and I hate you.

I'm going to keep the $$$ on the down low, you guy's already hate me enough...:D:music:

Wow, that is one helluva find. After a few minutes of picking I'd have made an offer on the lot.

I would have picked through them then rang my friends :scratch2::scratch2:

By the sentiments expressed here I don't think you have any left:D
