Week of comparisons B-2102MV, B-2105MV with pre C-2105 and without pre. Directly to the source, which were two CD players. One with NOS tubes and the other with Ayon CD-1sx with new 6H30 tubes.
In my opinion, the older B-2103MV power amp sounds much better. B-2105MV is too bright for me. It has a weaker, short bass. Probably because the midrange and treble are too exposed, which gives the impression of ubiquitous sound. Immersing yourself in the sound, but it becomes too tiring after a while. Huge sound stage. However, I think that this is an exaggerated scene, not very natural. The sound is being pushed too far forward. The B-2102MV, on the other hand, builds a beautiful scene. Everything is nicely arranged to the sides, up and down, and deeper into the stage. The very well-placed individual instruments do not blend into the wall of sound. Amazing scene clarity of the B-2102MV compared to the B-2105MV. Especially noticeable in the case of the B-2102MV, when the power ends play directly with the source. In my opinion, the B-2102MV also plays very well with the C-2105. Better than with the B-2105MV, because then the sound gains more clarity. I recommend the C / B-2105 set to those who prefer a detailed, bright sound with an underexposed, short bass.
