Waiting for your package to be delivered is like:

My UPS packages are tracked in real time. As a UPS My Choice member I get constant updates as to where my package is. On the web site there is a map showing where the delivery truck is located and a comment as to how many deliveries are ahead of me. I frequently open my door as the UPS truck is pulling up out front.

I also receive email the morning of the delivery giving me a time period for when to expect delivery.

My package left Sturbridge, MA August 7th. Its in Vernon, CA at the moment. It'll be on my porch tomorrow afternoon. Then the fun begins! Some assembly required.

Hot damn! Package just arrived after lunch today. It's the parts Express Executive speaker kit!

Test fit

I've got to the part where we (well, I) did the Crossover and twisted them wires. Will start Soldering tomorrow. Also the bottom and rear wood panels are not glued so that we can easily install everything we need to get it running- well, charging first...maybe.

Also I may keep it plain as it is so that it can blend fairly well with my newly thought-out Banana Yellow Wolf Fursona (yes I am a furry)

Only thing that's missing is the handle. I ordered that biscuit and it never showed up with the rest of the parts

What's the story with those smaller drivers? They look like a mid-woofer with a shiny dome in the center. Coax mid/tweeter? But wait, there's an oval hole for...a tweeter horn? That was not in the pics.

Interesting method. I have all my UPS and FedEx deliveries sent to a local PostNet location; for a few bucks, they receive the package, inform me of its arrival, and keep it safe and dry for me til I can get there to pick it up. Delivery to my home has resulted in too many damaged, stolen, or mis-delivered items. USPS is even easier since its just held for me where I have my post office box. With any of these carriers, there's no tracking, waiting, or worrying to do--I just place the order and eventually get a pleasant surprise when it arrives.

That photo, staring out the window, watching for a delivery driver made me remember Simpson Sears.

I was very young in the late 1950’s and was getting an Elvis 45 delivered. In my case it was waiting and watching from the front porch.

A couple years along, it was a microscope I was anxiously watching for.

We also have items dropped off at a location in town. We would rather not have UPS/FedEx traveling down our 3.5-mile long gravel driveway at breakneck speeds. I do the maintenance.
