Weekly Estate and Garage sale finds (pics)

Found out front on the curb, first free scroe. Cabinets are a bit scratched and one of the dust covers is peeling, but the drivers all seem great for its age. They replaced my Energy CB-10s and I don't think I'll be changing any time soon. This is my university apartment set up so I'm pretty pleased

Owned a pair of 3.1e which were a bit bigger, but these still sound pretty great for the price

Free Energy is always a good thing. What's next, Cold Fusion?

I was working today but zipped out on my Vespa to get lunch. Thankfully I had borrowed a $20 from a co-worker and still had it as I passed a yard sale. I came home with these, and am heading over (just a few blocks) in the morning to pick up a $7 Sony receiver.

The Neil Young, LZ4, The Who & SuperFly are all redundant but in great shape and good investments. :)

Dobyman - I picked up some CS-99a's this weekend for a song as well. They look GREAT! If your wife approves, I think you recap them and they will be the best speakers you've ever owned... even if they're not.

If my future was as it is now for the living room, they would stay. But, the plans there are for tubes, so I need the Klipsch. If it was a few years ago, you couldn't get these away from me. Funny how things change. But, things can change too. You never know. WAF is a major thing. And my Sansui 8 Deluxe is no slouch. They are good together. :thmbsp:

Picked these up for $150.00 at a household sale. Was surprised to see them in an older ladies house, but they belonged to a relative. I figured worst case scenario I have the start of a surround system, best case, better sound than I had. Hope to have the 950's and the sub hooked up later this week. Had the 950's hooked up temporarily and definitely sounded better than what I had.

There was likely a set of VRS surrounds somewhere about unless they were already sold. No matter, you can use just about anything for that. What you have though is a very nice home theater / music system, enjoy!

That might be one of the best buys I've seen in this thread. There is some great cable sets there. I always look for cable as well and once in awhile I find something good. Never quantity like that however.

Sure, the one and only estate sale I go to turns out to be fake on a rare Friday off. I get to the house and there is a sign saying no estate, address is wrong or something.

I've been to at least three where there was nothing being held. One had signs up.

Had some massive yard sale and flea market finds this week, mostly records and vintage toys.
I will start by posting pics of the records.
Most are from garage sales and flea markets.
Most I paid under $2 per, except Bubble Puppy, and Drama Loneliness (sealed)
The Punk, and Alternative records are mostly French, England and German pressings

All are dead mint !

Met up one of the members of Bentwind, Marty Roth (lead singer) who lives near me
and picked up a re-issue of Sussex for $5. He gave me the 45 reissue for free.
Only 300 copies of the original were pressed and valued at over $6,000 in near mint shape.

That Sisters of Mercy is a great album and that Sex Pistols is a pretty good find, but finding Bubble Puppy is awesome. We used to play 'Hot Smoke and Sassafras' on our psych show nearly every weekend.

BP signed on with International Artists and worked with Leland Rogers (Kenny's brother). These guys helped put psychedelic music on the map. Good Texas music! I'm jealous of you right now....
