Might be worth checking the contour controls with a multimeter....they look like they are wired up the same as the E70s.
The resistance between any combination of the Black, Red and Brown lead should be 0 ohms.
Between any one of the Black/Red/Brown leads and the Green/Yellow lead should be 3.9 Ohms (the R1 resistor).

That has been a great help. I am building a pair of E90s as near to the original as I can get. I have modeled from scratch using a Auto desk inventor and have plans to make out of MDF if any one want a copy let me know . I live in Bradford near where the factory was. I remember a mind blowing sound coming out of these monster speakers.Wiring diagram and parts list for the Wharfedale E90 speakers.

Hey, a set of plans would be more than appreciated. I already have a pair of factory E90's and would like to add a second pair in my amphitheatre. How did you locate the drivers for yours John?

Hi. Not sure if this thread is still live, but I hope it is.
Was it you that had the drawings/ dimensions for the cabinets?
And, thanks for reposting the Crossover details.
I have a set of E70s and the Crossover appeared to be glued to the backnof the cabinet. Is that a standard method not fixing? And, if so is there any safe way to get them out for remapping?

The crossover board on an E70 is screwed to back of the cabinet using 3 of the small screws that fix a couple of the resistors IIRC.
I would imagine the the E90s are the same.
I think I unscrewed the various screws until I found the ones that hold the crossover to the back of the cabinet then marked them with a sharpie for future reference.

I think the screws that have to be removed to release the crossover board from the cabinet are fairly obvious.
