'Black Mountain' by Black Mountain. This is their debut released by Jagjaguwar in 2005. In 2015 an expanded 16 track version was re-released which is what's being played tonight.

Pitchfork provided a mostly positive review, stating Black Mountain provided "perfect amount of tarnish to make the songs feel lived-in without burying them in fry grease.

Black Mountain is a Canadian psychedelic rock band from Vancouver, British Columbia. The band is composed of Stephen McBean, Jeremy Schmidt, Adam Bulgasem, Rachel Fannan, Arjan Miranda. Since forming in 2004, Black Mountain has released five LPs, Black Mountain (2005), In the Future (2008), Wilderness Heart (2010), IV (2016) and Destroyer (2019); two EPs and a number of singles, mostly on the Jagjaguwar label.

I know a good Bowie run when I see one.

Bowie is one artist I really have trouble deciding which is my fav album. This album is always 1 or 2... this, to me, is where Bowie became "Bowie". He wrote almost everything he teamed up with Ronson and the variety on this album always knocks me out. I love this album.

Jus so happens last night after I dropped off here, I was messin around with some of this albums coolness.

These are worth a spin, IMHO.
