What are you Listening To Right Now? - and more

[needforspeed]

Yeah I just left my buddies place , wifey is driving. We had an awesome listening session with those speakers. I meant to add that the woofers are Carver woofers it’s just whomever owned them first put Cerwin Vega dust caps on them for some reason. Also my friend was using one his Carver Lightstar amps to power the speakers.

Must have sounded amazing

I turned my buddy Nate on to Roger Zelazny's The Amber Chronicles many years ago.
George RR Martin cites The Chronicles Of Amber as an inspiration to his Game Of Thrones series.
Nate just told me that another one of my favorite humans is also a fan and hopes to bring it to TV.

It seems that the project is dead in the water for now but it's been a few years since the last
time I read the Chronicles so for now I'll listen to Roger read a bit of the first Amber book (1970).

I play the Books Of Amber read by the author on loop instead of having a fan on in my room for white noise.
It's considerably more entertaining than a fan until I get to sleep and when I wake up.

In the currant scene in book 10 Caravan by Wynton Marsalis is playing in Merlin's red 57 Chevy as they escape peril.
I never heard it before so here goes

I wish I was only up @ 5-6 instead of all night! After a year of this it's getting tiring, to say the least...
Is your AK crawling like a snail stuck in honey, like mine is?

I understand that Donnie Darko is coming back to theaters, and I may have to buy some tickets.

Listening to a an Americana station on the phone drinking coffee whilst my landlord makes bacon and eggs.

What exactly is Donnie Darko? Heard the name of course, but not a clue what it's/he's about?

Bizarre, psychedelic, sci-fi psychological thriller starring Jake Gyllenhaall. To my mind it's one of the rare instances where the theatrical cut is better than the director's cut.
