What are you Listening To Right Now? - and more

I’ve been watching closely on Canuck audio mart, every time I see one maybe worth going for it ends up they ship lol. I also love Maxell XL ll S tapes and have some new old stock tapes. Funny you mention Denon HD- 8 tapes as they are my hands down all time favourite lank tapes. I still have a couple nos of those as well as some that I’ve recorded on. I always use Dolby C as well, I find it works great for me. Here’s some photos the stash , I also have a double sided case with about 60 TDK SA 90 new old stock tapes on it and there’s more here as well but o can’t get go easily right now lol. IMG_7586.jpeg
I love the Naks, and I got my CR3A fully reconditioned by a tech who clearly knows what he's doing with these decks, off Canuck Audio Mart for are you ready? $685.00 Canadian, plus shipping! Fully calibrated and everything! I've had an LX3, LX5, A Dragon for 2 years (a sad story), and now the CR3A.... The CR3A in my opinion and many others is the most cost-effective way to get a 3-head Nak with the older and superior (according to some) dual capstan/ silent drive technology- Records I taped 40 years ago (on Maxell UDXLIIs or Denon HD8 metal tapes (my fave tape!!!- very expensive now) sound to me identical to the albums STILL! Always recorded with Dolby "C"... :)

featuring Joe Lynn Turner on vocals who has sang for Rainbow, Yngwie Malmsteen's Rising Force, Deep Purple and did an album or two with Glenn Hughes.
Nice !, I’ll be checking that album out for sure. I like Joe Lynn Turners vocals. The track Stone Cold from his time with Rainbow is one of my all time favourites.

I certainly have no love for Microsoft, but I think it was a stroke of genius for Bill Gates to give away the operating system to the public... guarantees him a massive installed base to cram more busted junk down our throats during auto-downloads! Also, my current hate-on for Microsoft is that the common user HAS to rent his software now!!! I just had to rent the Office suite for another year! I'm betting that alone has made him a trillionaire!? I heard part of a quick interview with him where he states and actually believes his companies parasitic practices are good for the user!? Of course I use Win11 cause it was "free"... but I've had to go online to purchase full Windoze 11 on a USB stick, to fix some busted junk in my systems... I'm sure it's illegal, but eff 'em...
Yes it's one of the greatest business decisions of all time when the fledgling company Microsoft counter-offered the offer of millions from I believe IBM for MS-Dos with the no but we'll allow it to be installed in any New PC.

Yup. When there were fewer things to read, watch, and listen to then the ones that were WORTH somthing made an impression across the whole culture. I love movies as much as music and so many films are really important to me. My kids like film too, but it doesn't play the same role in their lives as it did in mine. I was at the theater every weekend unless every single movie was just dreadful. Which did happen...
