My cardiologist said I'm as healthy as an in-shape 50 year old or better on Tuesday (I'm 65):banana::banana:

That's a far cry from a couple of surgeons cutting my chest in half to rearrange my cardiac plumbing 3.5 years ago

I got busy living

I played my favorite part of Thin Lizzy ~ Jailbreak to get started earlier

That’s awesome brother

what really pisses me off about this thing is it has a huge access panel on the bottom. who cares? itsa tape deck.

full easy access to backside of a pcb in a unit where stuff on the pcb is unlikely to fail, but the amp has a tiny access panel. :dunno:

to restore the pcb? no way.

i enjoy recapping but jeeeeez. that would eat up a crap ton of inventory and i count 11 trimmers. that's 11 adjustments after replacing them. and more specialized tools and gear than i own. it doesn't even appeal to me.

then we get into the tiny little keepers/ retainer i've seen in some. no way. i'd either fumble with them and they end up on the floor or they fly off when removing. either way, not a chance i'm taking. maybe if this was 50 years ago and i had bins of replacement parts at hand, then i could cobble by way through a few and get good.

props to guys that can and do.

how do you trust 50 year old calibration tapes anyway? i did a few things by ear on my other jvc but that played tapes from the time i bought it. couldn't fix the display. but if i had a display i could install it and bet it works.

anyways. **** tape decks

:rflmao:
You should see a NAK RX series
