What are your oldest speakers currently in use or owned by you?

A pair of 1975 EPI-90's, got some mileage on them, they saw some hard times in college, but are still working. Driving them with a Sony ES 500 integrated amp for basement duty.

JBL L-65B Jubals. 1976 vintage approximately. Woofer reconed several times, totally rebuilt crossovers using same values but polypro caps, metal film precision resistors, air-core inductors except at the woof which has an iron core but just a "bar" type.

Well..

I've got my 1959 Altec 810 VOTT.. and then a little newer, sometime in the 60's JBL C36...

But I can go back further with my Zenith consoles, 1938, and 1940.. but then IF, you consider a victrola to be a speaker (internal horn) like the edison shown (same principle to get the sound) then I can say 1929 is my oldest..

RtR's, 1979. They're keepers. For their age, they've held up pretty good, with no mods needed. As soon as I get the audio rack in place and my system is organized, I promised masterlu some pics.

Acousiflex Model 12's From 1969
They have a 15 inch woofer with Pleated Surrounds...no need for re-do's like foam junk, the also have two 12x4 inch Mid Horns and two 3 inch Tweeters.....Dark Walnut Beauties 30 inches tall by 16 inches deep by 22 inches wide and about 85LB's Each....

I never have seen anyone else anywhere who has a set of Acousiflex Speakers....Ever on the internet ..

They are a match for my 1986 D-9 Cerwin Vegas on sound and maybe even better with voice recreation and classical music.

Oldest moderns in actual use is a pair of AR4x cloth roll surround (mid-late 60s?) original stock cdx, as my prime AV system. Oldest not in use is 1921 WE 10A vertical horn w/ WE 7A amp missing tubes. Owned since '75 and never yet run either one. May eventually try the horn on a 1924 Atwater Kent 20C that normally runs a 1924 RCA UZ-1325 horn, the WE amp is a basically a static collector piece and it's too late to find the missing 216A tennis ball tubes for anything like a reasonable price. Course I could run it with 3x- UV-112A if I wanted to just hear thru it.
FWIW, oldest piece of tube electronic gear here is 1917 WE SCR-59 WW-I airplane radiophone reciever equipped with 3 WE VT-1.

Well, I have my Smaller Advents made in 1975 along with my Original Advents also built in 1975....You can see what I have the OLA's rocking out to:D

AR 4x that I just restored. You could see through the cloth surrounds. A little Aleenes fabric glue, and a pot cleaning .....sweet speakers now. Not bad for free.

My newest speakers (Dahlquist DQ-20i, Mirage 360) are 19 yrs old, yours are factory fresh by comparison.
BTW, Is Michael G. Cavanaugh still around there doing radio? Joe Redfern?

KLH model 6 stamped 1963 by the enclosure. The tweeters and woofers are epoxied in a trademark design of KLoss at the time. Many don't know but he patented the enclosure for the AR2 and then used it later as a side hobby at KLH.
