Bleeding is further out on the leading edge.

Late 90's IIRC.

Both terms still used.

I prefer to stick a toe over the edge periodically, but keep the rest of my feet firmly planted in what's proven to work and be reliable for the task at hand.

I called it bleeding edge 30 years ago. And it's based on what it means to be on the leading edge of either new technologies or new standards.

...and they are starting to get wise to us pressing "0" to get a human, even if they can't answer our specific question, often they can do a better job of routing our call than the fixed item tree.

My friend decades back called it "phone jail" while navigating a company`s phone menu he was calling, and being transferred over to someone (when he finally connected to a living person !), who often transferred him to someone else !
 
Today's peeve- people driving down my alley who don't LIVE HERE.

There's a small gravel alley they runs behind my property, and it serves about 3 driveways. My main driveway exits out the front on to the main street, so I don't use the back very often. But today I needed to exit out the back, and I turn out of my driveway, and wouldn't you know, some A-hole is coming up the other way. Some person and vehicle I don't recognize. Get the hell out of here if you don't live here! Seems like weirdos are always milling around back there. The alley isn't on GPSs, so it's not like people are being misdirected back there. I don't know if they are scrap thieves looking for stuff or what. But damn-it-all if I have to reverse back into my driveway to let some random looky-loo through!

Not to mention, one end of the alley is very steep, and meets the main road at a terrible angle, and all the time I hear people destroying their bumpers pulling out of it. "Crruunch-scraaape"... I can hear it (and sometimes feel it) all the way into the house. Bonus points if they drag a trailer down it too, lol. That'll teach 'em.

Post several Dead End/Private Driveway/Not a Public through fare/No Trespassing Signs.

FWIW, That`s what`s what I`ve seen done around my area for decades on a shared driveway`s common road that leads to a group of houses situated on the shore of the St. Johns River to keep folks from just driving down that road to park and maybe walk on somebody`s river front property to gain access to fish on the river`s shore..

How effective, I can`t say, but might discourage curious honest folks, and allows your other neighbors who are sharing users and you legit/legal reasons to challenge violators since it has been posted.

When you point out something you don't like about something and people respond defensively with "well, just don't _______ (watch, eat, listen to, etc.) it then.". Like if you aren't a fan of whatever it is then you don't get to talk about it. If they are a fan then perhaps they could come back with what they like about it.
I get it, someone said something you like wasn't good, but I don't get the shutting that person down. I'm open to discuss the good and the bad, convince me it is good or if nothing else enlighten me as to why some people would think that.
