STOP doing that.
Just stop.
If I want a nation-wide search, I'll type in a nation-wide search.
The price of windshield wipers and how they now market complete unit replacements instead of just the rubber refills.

I had the same problem with Fiber 1 bars. Now I use the side flaps and all is well.Boxes that don't actually open when you open the tab flap ... Not sure when this started, but my favorite Nature Valley peanut butter wafers were an early adopter ... The box before this one also had so much glue on the tab flap that I couldn't separate it without ripping the cardboard in a couple of places ...
A similar problem with these plastic bag packets the have a little nick in edge at top that says, "Tear Here".Boxes that don't actually open when you open the tab flap-

I don’t even try anymore.
Just automatically grab the scissors.

I have a theory about chip bags. Like corn chips or potato chips or the like. You used to be able to pull on the sides, and the seam would smoothly open up, making it easy to fold and reseal. Now the seam doesn't open, but instead there's the little cut in the end of the seam to tear. This usually makes a giant uncontrolable tear down the entire bag. The result is you can't easily close the bag up. Which if you ran the numbers, over millions of bags, would probably bump sales up since it causes either more stale chips, or eating more. Either way, making you buy more. Capitalism at it's finest!
