My friend rescued two dogs that came from the same home, she is a very good and responsible pet owner. The day after Halloween she took her dogs for a walk before bringing them to doggie daycare, she got a call shortly after dropping them off at doggie daycare that they were rushing her two dogs to the vet, turns out they both ingested some sort of THC laced stuff during the walk before she dropped them off. I'm wondering if someone purposely placed this stuff where people frequently walk their pets.
 
Today's peeve- The Elon Musk/Twitter thing.

This effects a handful of people, yet it's top story every day. WHO CARES. I don't use twitter, I don't know anyone who uses twitter, and I certainly don't care if a rich narcissist loses some money buying it.

Same with the Kanye drama. He's obviously seriously mentally ill. Quit printing stories about him and call the white-coats already. Hit that sucker with a lithium blow-dart.

My peak TOT years were 1966-1971. Even back then, I wasn't allowed to keep anything that wasn't in a sealed wrapper.
 
The leaves of the oak trees in our garden are still dark green. Because of the extremely warm October they still seem to be in a sort of Summer mood.

Back in the days that the NYG and NYJ both still actually played in New York City, their stadiums were probably farther from midtown Manhattan than where they play now (time-wise if not distance-wise). But as a NJ resident and a recovered football fan I'd be happy for them to go back.... :D

People who say I can't complain if I don't vote.

Give me a "good" choice instead of choosing the lesser of evils year after year after year.

If I don't vote for either the lair or the crook, I can complain about both of them.

For the record, I am voting today.

...but only to vote against a special interest property tax issue.

2 years ago I voted to defeat a measure that would require a citizen initiative ballot item to be on the ballot twice.

WTF??? Talk about limiting the people's ability to govern.

It failed, thankfully but I hear it's on th ballot in other states this year.

How dumb do "they" think we are?
 
Today's pet peeve?

The cooking channel (food network) . When did cooking shows stop passing along cooking tips and become contrived "beat the clock" nonsense? I used to have it on in the kitchen as background noise and to maybe pick up a tip or two on some technique or other, but it's become so useless that I now put on Motortrend instead :rolleyes:

Yeah, it just doesn't grate on me the way Food Network does. This whole rush rush hurry up do it NOW! nonsense thing actually really ruins a lot of present day TV for me.

Someone shows up in MY kitchen with a stopwatch they may end up wearing dinner VS eating it.... :rflmao:
