Gonna slide in on AK's beloved member now gone (The Skipper), may he not be forgotten...that being "clothes/shoes sizes not available"!

Whenever I go into to purchase clothes or foot ware...there are scads of garments/shoes, whatever available...but never the sizes I want! Only the very extremes on both ends remain! Why can't certain popular sizes be bought keeping in mind the scarcity of the ones gone, and that abundance of those left indicate to the company "buyers" that more of the missing sizes are picked up in the first place. Even the people working in the stores admit that this is often the oversight of supply and demand!

I'm not quite Capt's 6'4", but up there and not overweight for age/build. But, I do have his same lament!


Are we alone in this peeve?

I've got a new pet peeve I didn't know about

Discogs sellers that use the "I don't live near a post office" for being slow to ship. Even though it's really easy to find that they live in large cities.

I wear a 13 shoe and an LT shirt, along with 34/34 pants.

Pants have been a bit easier to find lately, but 13 shoe selection is very limited and LT shirts are practically non-existant.

34-34 pants are usually one or two pair at the bottom of a stack of a dozen 34-32 pairs.

Scads of XLT, though and plenty of 12 and 12.5 shoes.

Good thing I don't wear a 13.5. I've never seen one that I can recall.
 
Today's peeve-

People who think just because I work for myself, I'm just sitting around all day, with all the free time in the world.

I can't believe how many people try to push their crap off on me just because I am "home". Yeah, I'm "home", but I'm working. Well, not while I am goofing off, posting on here, but still. Leave me alone all the same, lol.

I'm 6'6" with 36" inseam and 40" waste. Keeping in mind I live in a rural area, pants sizes in most stores seem to stop at 34 inseam. If you do find a 40" waste pant it usually is for someone with a 30 or 32" inseam. What's up with that?
I have size 15 feet. I almost cried when I was a teen and went from a size 12 to 13 because the stores rarely had larger than 12 and those were rare. When I later went to a 13 when I was older, they were more available. Foot doctor told me to get bigger shoes and went to 14 and he said no even bigger -- 15. I wore 13s for probably half my life and ended up with hammer toes.
As the late Skipper (RIP) said, just get on with it and call them Big Stores. I get all excited when I see signs in stores that say big and tall and then get disappointed when everything is XXL on up like 4X. I don't need that, I need XL-Tall, so yes, tall not BIG. Rant over.
 
Today's peeve-

People who put furniture out on the curb "for free". Like couches and mattresses. Um, in today's bed-bug-filled world, nobody (not even the garbage man unfortunately), is going to pick up questionable upholstered furniture from the curb.

Then it rains, and it turns brown, and becomes 1000lbs of waterlogged foam and wood.

There are two houses around here that are always putting furniture out, and it drives me nuts! It looks so ghetto. Especially when it sits there for weeks and gets all gross.
