What is YOUR pet peeve? Let's have a laugh.

Probably already mentioned but those who speed up and won't let you merge onto the interstate. And if there's an empty outside lane heaven forbid they would ever move over.
Related: those who are traveling faster than you in an adjacent lane come up from behind then when they reach your peripheral vision they slow to match your speed and pace. They are not even beside you- just in front of the so-called blind spot and being annoying.

There are no living rooms any more.
No family rooms, no bathrooms, no bedrooms, no patios, no (whomever) caves, no furnished sheds, no furnished basements or attics, no kitchens, no restaurants, no hotel rooms... none of it.

EVERYTHING IS A SPACE. SPACE.

SPACE

SPACE.

ARRRGHHHHH!

They could teach a college class on the psychology of driving.
The people that slow down next to semi's.
The ones when there are no cars behind you in your lane but they go just past you, cut in and then slow down to take the exit.
The drivers that pass you and then slow below the speed you are going. I'd say more than half the time when passing cars on 2 lane roads they speed up significantly as I go past. I guess some just get insulted because you want to go past them. I've had cars that were going 60 in a 65 zone speed up to near 80 after I pass them then a short time later they slow back down and disappear in the rearview mirror.
Some have the herd mentality so strong that they just want to be near other cars, no matter how much more dangerous it is.
And the others that just have to be in front of you, even if they don't want to go faster than you. I had one driver leapfrog me a half dozen times with the speeding up to pass me and then slowing down thing. I finally turned off the cruise control and floored it to get away from them.
When the merge lane is nearly a half mile long and the only other car on the road is merging and positions itself right next to you as the mege lane runs out. Then once merged they speed up another 10 MPH and you never see them again, why didn't they speed up when they were merging? They had all that distance to decide if they wanted to be in front or behind me but they decided they wanted to be exactly where I was.
Maybe there are just more people out there so we encounter more jerks or maybe more city people are moving to the burbs or maybe some people feel so powerless in their lives that they are seeking some power and control on the road. Whatever it is, at least I'm getting better at just laughing at them.

First big snowfall of the year here. People who attempt to ascend a steep hill on summer tires, start to lose traction, and so slow down or stop altogether.

Some of those vehicles will be stuck on that hill until the rain comes.

Called in to my mortgage company today.
I believe I went thru at least eight menus of button pushing, trying to get a human.
I had their website up in front of me. Was told each time, go to our website, or use our automated system. Blah blah blah.
I had an obvious error to discuss, finally got a human.
I would love to hear a recording of people talking back to silicone Sally.
I did some creative cursing today.

Dumb ass news reporters.

10:00 tonight - local NBC announces that a car drove off an overpass in Sacramento and fell onto HWY 80 underneath.

11:00 tonight - same NBC now says a truck hit the barrier on the overpass, and concrete fell on 2 vehicles below.

We had a question about a bill we received E-ZPass so my wife called them up yesterday morning. Voice said there was heavier than usual call volume and they were sorry for the delay. She was 81 in line. She decided to wait since leaving a message rarely gets a return call. After an hour she was at 65. I took over and watched a movie while I waited. After an hour and 50 minutes, we were at 68 (!??!). A half hour later we were at 84. We gave up and left a message and at 6:30 PM they called back. My wife asked them about the screwed up wait numbers and he told her they were having an issue with that.

Tonight, a local NBC affiliate did a story about a postal worker who was arrested for stealing mail. One item was a package containing 3 lbs of Marijuana.

The next item found - a quarter of a million dollars - $125,000.00:confused:

"Country" music. I just got back from Tractor Supply and had to listen to this over the sound system. I'd love it if they played the real stuff. They had a new sign on the front door saying concealed carry customers welcome. I wonder if anyone will shoot the speakers.

.

Trying to find competent business and people for any type of work. I called one yesterday to come to the house. I said any day would be fine but specifically told him I could only do afternoons and I'd need an hours warning to meet them there. My camera triggers this morning at 9 and I get a call that they are there.

Ubiquitous in stores.
Yes, do these, but why pay to have someone make something to hang on your wall to remind you to do them?
There is just something about signs with sayings like that that bug me and add into it the 'looks homemade" thing they try for and I've got no patience for it. Like you said do I need to read that every day or is it just so other people think I'm grounded.
