What is YOUR pet peeve? Let's have a laugh.

Just grab me with the current hot button buzzword "offend".

Than make sure I know they are "preserving my rights" and my "freedom to choose".

I gotta give it points for being about as loosely tied in as possible.....and ballsy.

Let's call it the "grasping at straws" award.

Xmas.

It doesn't even make any sense; X = Christ?

From Wikipedia:

Xmas (also X-mas) is a common abbreviation of the word Christmas. It is sometimes pronounced /ˈɛksməs/, but Xmas, and variants such as Xtemass, originated as handwriting abbreviations for the typical pronunciation /ˈkrɪsməs/. The 'X' comes from the Greek letter Chi, which is the first letter of the Greek word Christós (Greek: Χριστός, translit. Khristós, lit. "anointed, covered in oil"), which became Christ in English.[1] The suffix -mas is from the Latin-derived Old English word for Mass.[2]

I learned this way back when in Sunday school. To quote Wikipedia:

The past couple on months on Dimbulb's "as advertised on TV" stuff.

"Due to increased costs and supply chain issues, limited supply available and will be discontinued."
I understand the marketing of 'last chance' to jump start people, but it is a hilariously recurring theme.

Then they put a cap on how many you can order. Why do you care who your sell your limited supply to- money is money.

Perhaps discouraging the people who would buy the whole lot of it in one fell swoop, only to turn around and resell them on Ebay for gouging prices because they are now the only one who has it ?

If they get what they want out of it, that should not matter.
If the mfgr thinks that they can get more, then do it. Don't play marketing games.

Old man moment. People who, while waiting in a drive through line, will hang back one or more car lengths from the car in front of them like they're afraid they're going to hit them or something. Get enough of these idiots together and all of a sudden the drive through line is twice as long as it needs to be, blocking other traffic. Hey buddy, there's this thing called a brake pedal...or just slam it in neutral. Why do most loose half their IQ points when they get behind the wheel?

I think about half the drivers on the road have no clue how much space their car takes up. Like when driving between two objects or other cars, they leave 4-5 feet on the passenger side, and are afraid to get any closer than that, and will not try. For example passing on the right when a car is waiting to turn left. I have seen folks in compact cars hesitate, while I blow by in a big old Transit van or even a box truck.

Agree.

Especially discourteous in a turn lane where if the people ahead of me would pull up 4-5 feet of the 8 foot gap they left, then my car could fit completely in the lane rather than hang 4 feet out into the through lane.

or when backing out of a parking space while turning, they stop 2 feet from the car next to them, but 25 feet from the car behind them and pull up/back in a sawing motion 3 or 4 times, when they could have cleared on the first pass if they had used some of that 25 feet.

When people on forums (including this one) get proven wrong yet are to stubborn to admit a bad hot take and won't answer when asked direct questions about said hot take.

"High-falutin'".

What is that? Is there low falutin'? Just how does one falute anyway, and how many different ways are there to do it? Can I falute my neighbor, and if so, must I do it high or low or do I also have the option of doing it left or right. Also, if I do it once, does that make me a faluter, and does that then make my neighbor a falutee?

These kinds of things rob me of sleep.
