It happened again.

At BK for lunch.

3 people ahead of me in line.

Manager took first 2 orders, then stopped to bag up the first person's order.
OK
Then took 3rd person's order and disappeared.
When she came back about 2 minutes later, she refilled the fry tray, then the nugget tray, then bagged the second person's order.
When she stood and waited for the third person's order to "drop", I walked out.

Come on!

No one else in line after me.
You could have put my order in and it would have been done seconds after the third customer.
Could have been cooking while you were doing all those other things including waiting with your back to the counter.

WTF?

That's probably next. Lord knows I have to wait for ads to load on my voicemail app just to see who left a message. No verbal ad interruptions yet, but the app literally stalls for 20 seconds as all the BS banners load. And this is the OEM VM app that came with the phone and service that I f'n pay for! It's not some freeeware crapola that I got from the play store!
 
I had Virgin Mobile and was quite happy.
They folded and my service was picked up by Boost.
I was told I needed a SIM "upgrade".
After the new SIM was installed the phone was much slower switching between apps, and now...

...at the beginning of the month (roughly) I get 1 to 3 full screen ads either on boot, or in the system notification area.

Grrrrr.

When I was young we had four precise seasons: Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter. This has changed into

Early Summer (March, April)
Summer (May)
High Summer (June, July, August, September)
Late Summer (October, November, December)
"Autumn-Winter" (January, February, lowest temperatures around 5°C)

If you can call the sometimes slight changes in temp and humidity in FL "seasons"...

Lately ours have been changing on a dime.

On or around the "first day of..." day, the temp will swing dramatically.

Cold front yesterday caused a 30 degree swing from "summer" 85 degrees plus to "fall" at 55 degrees.
 
The relative who shares a "secret", but you know that you're prob the 4th or 5th he/she has shared this same secret with...usually about another relative! :rolleyes:

Yes, I quoted my younger self (8 years or so ago).

I hate to say it, but things have only gotten worse where my initial peeve above is concerned.

Now, if someone asks you a question, you no more get to the verb part of your reply when they either interrupt you, or worse, start beep-booping through their phones.

Hate to say it, but as for The Industrial Revolution and its Consequences, ol' TK was at least mostly right when he posited that mankind wasn't ready for such a gift.
