There is an open-source browser extension that blocks ads on YouTube called Ublock Origin. It's free, reportedly secure, and works really well. Add it through you browser extension options, which should make sure you get the legitimate version.

Brave bowser also blocks You Tube ads. Definitely a huge plus for Brave.
When many of my wife's elderly relatives were still alive, you would hear a lot of "Finn-glish," mixed in with their native Finnish

Personally like em' myself. I don't slow down much at all. Practice makes perfect. When nobody's around I'll do a few laps.
Automated phone spam, I have to clean my mom's digital answering machine connected to her landline once a week because of the robot spam calls.
Modern cars, overly complex and badly designed (or designed great if you want them to break at the end of the small warranty period). And the shift from sedans to SUVs.
Stores and their problem with paying in cash. One grocery store makes me stick money into a slot and hope none of it is bent or it kicks it out, another discount stores needs to call a manager if you pay with over $200 in cash (manager doesn't even look at it to see if it is fake or not). Most fast food places won't take a $100 bill even if you purchased $50+ in overpriced food.

This kind of thing can be amusing. "Engrish" (random application of English words in Japanese speech) can be rather interesting, for one example. What would be very naughty English words, just don't seem to faze the average Japanese person, in Japan. I remember a story from a friend who was studying to be an English teacher in Japan, about a little old Japanese lady at a clothing shop, walking up to him with a T-shirt- I won't say what it said, as it would violate the profanity filter here- but if you've ever heard the first three words in the chorus of the Anthrax song "Startin' Up a Posse", you will know exactly what it said.
She just walked up to him, beaming widely, and said "You like??"

That goes both ways. Years ago (and probably still are) people were wearing shirts with Japanese language characters on them and had no idea as to what they actually mean. I recall seeing some of the translations, and they might be considered vulgar or offensive by some.This kind of thing can be amusing. Could have just stopped after "tatoos." Never understood why anyone would want to intentionally maim, scar, or mar themselves.
Add silver to that and that covers cars too.

Properly done tats are not maiming or scarring.
There is a lot of creative artwork out there, and I love seeing a woman with a well crafted arm sleeve.
Oh and tats are hardly trendy. People have been wear them for decades. Only now, they are not frowned upon as they once were, by mainstream society.
Yes black houses are a current trend, but one I like, for certain areas. I would not do it in a place like TX or California, but in cooler mountain climates, why not? white is nothing new around here. Want to find cheap construction houses? Look for a bunch of white ones in the same development. If they also have vinyl siding and slab construction, you have found the trifecta of cheap housing construction!

Much cheaper than brick houses which is what everyone used to make houses with before WW2. ? By definition, they change the appearance of your largest organ permanently, at absolute best. At worst, they increase the risk of infections and skin cancer. Soooo..yes, they are by definition. And all solely for vanity. Insane.
And I support your right to love that. It makes me sick, literally. My son has pretty much full sleeves, and I weep myself to sleep over it more than I'd like to admit, after all the years protecting, teaching, encouraging, and raising him.
There is PLENTY that is no longer frowned upon that we'd be MUCH better off if the frowning had continued. Hardly a prescient argument. Is societal acceptance of something a measure of value? We've accepted McDonald's as food, AI as art, and selfishness as a way of life. I shall continue to frown on ALL that prevents us from seeking aspirations above one's self.

Thing is, with music taste, clothes, and hair colors, once kids grow up and realize their parents may have had more than one oar in the water... their tastes and values can change (dare I say improve?). Piercings, tattoos, and other permanent personally-chosen injuries are forever. I find it sad that there's so much support for immutable bad choices. Sure, we all do stupid things, myself included.. but at least I've been able to turn away from mine.
Reminds me of a quote oft attributed to Mark Twain/Samuel Clemens, but who knows the actual origin....

This may be true for kids, but I was speaking of adults with tats. They are not rebelling against anyone.
Around here, nice homes are still built with brick, some form of wood siding or hard plank.

No direct causal link has been established in the medical community. And researchers are mixed on what they think. So, can’t blame tattoos for that.
But change does not automatically mean marred or maimed.
I think you need to let him live his own life. If he is an upstanding citizen, who is gainfully employed, and well educated, I would say you were successful. Stop worrying about it.
This last sentence just reveals your biased opinions against tats, nothing more. Lots of people are successful and have tattoos. This is not an either/or event. Nor can tats be compared to consuming fast food.
