What was the last movie you watched?

10 Cloverfield Lane
(2016)

Not watched it since its initial release, still holds up.

Forgot to report that I watched the first one, i.e., Cloverfield (2008) a couple nights previous.

Got the third - The Cloverfield Paradox - ready to view tonight.
That’s the way I did it too.

Did my annual take in of "Dr. Zhivago" ('65) that for me, stands of the shoulders of all epic historical movies.

There's just those haunting musical themes, like "Lara's/Laure's" theme, coupled with the dramatic events that play out on the screen...big or small, that leave their enduring stamp on me.

Few offerings, other than "Lawrence OF Arabia" ('62) or "Schindler's List ('93) affect me in this same way. They run a close second.

I watched "Plan 9 From Outer Space" this morning with my 9 year old grandson.

I told him it was "the worst movie ever made" and that it was "so bad, it was good."
He loved it.
Laughed at the flying saucers, flimsy tombstones and the Bela Lugosi/Chiropractor Body Double scenes.

No matter what time you watch this movie...it feels like 3 in the morning.

Leptirica (1973)

Horrors were not popular in Yugoslavian film making, only small numbers are made. This was the first, based on Serbian folk-tales in low budget TV production. It was quite scary when I was a small kid. Today, it's more like nostalgic trip to the past, but still very popular in these parts of the world.
Interesting story, nice willage scenery and couple of creepy moments.
Free with English subtitles on Tubi or YT.

The Heart of the Beast (2026)
It’s a good thing big boys don’t cry at movies, sheesh. We saw it in XD, besides the stunning visuals, the SQ is amazing and it comes withOUT the usual fatigue. Loved the reprise of Ted and Jerry (Pitt and Simmons) I’m just doing my portion Jerry.

Primate
(2026)

Rabid chimp goes apesh@t in Hawaii. I enjoyed this thing, lol, + not kidding.

A Working Man
(2025)

Ya want action this one delivers. Bonus (for me) is much of the on location was shot in a real, not CGI / A.I., Chicago. But a lotta the Russian Mafia stuff is fairy tale ... this is not/was never a thing in Chicago.
