What'd ya get from your Secret Santa? v.2009

So, today as I was decorating the xmas tree with the better half. I was concentrating on getting one of those stupid hooks into an ornament, when the doorbell nearly made me soil myself.

I answer the door and am greeted by the back of the mailman, because he didnt feel like waiting the 10 seconds it took me to answer the door, AND a square cardboard package!

It could only be that my secret santa gift had arrived. I argued for a couple minutes with the Mrs. on the merits of waiting till Xmas to open the gift. I wanted to be "that guy" who could actually wait, let the item sit under the tree, and be giddy xmas morning. Alas, the suspense killed me and the Mrs. laughed as she caught me cutting away the tape a short time later.

I do not know who you are on the forums yet, but thank you William!! (at least thats the return address name) You clearly did your threadwork and I couldn't be more excited. I cant wait to get these bad boys cleaned up and spinning. I'm amazed your found them. :music:

Happy Holidays to you and yours.
Keith

William was the Ebay store seller who had 3 of the early Sylvian albums, and Santa had him send them right to you.I was hoping they were in good condition, cause you never know.Santa is pleased you like them.

My special gift will be going out by Tuesday. Maybe as early as Monday but definitely not tomorrow. Definitely. Santa's elf was a little side tracked the last couple weeks. Poor Santa just can't seem to get good help sometimes.

We must have gotten elves from the same temp service. Of course, my elf has a bit of OCD as well, so once he picks something, he frets over it and picks something else. Eventually he just ends up sending socks. :D

Mine has been postponed even more, didn't realize enamels need several days to cure. And on top of that I am putting several layers of clear on top to of it but then it can be sent to the recipient.

Dont worry you you will get something before Christmas but the big one might come a day or two late.

I received two very nice books about Tennessee and Since we just moved here these will come in very handy. :) :thmbsp:

My special SS gift is packed and ready to go out and hopefully by this day's end. Santa's elf finally got it finished.

:banana:Finally got to listen to the John Fahey's Guitar Soli Christmas Album, I am impressed. Great selection Santa :tresbon: . You can bet the in-laws are going to hear him on Christmas day.

You gotta love this, count me in for next year! Once again!
Happy Holidays,
Jim

Ho, ho, ho! Your final disc (any day now) might be a bit more challenging for the in-laws.

Thank you so much Jimmy! The albums are in pretty nice shape. I'll know more when I have time to clean them up. there pretty dusty, but look in decent shape. I'm thrilled to finally have some of these! you really nailed this.

Have the happiest of holidays!

Keith

ps - I wasnt sure if you were my ss, even though you responded with the "little bird" comment. People can be pretty sneaky around here. Glad I could thank you thread to thread!

Well, Santa came by today.

The package traveled MILES to get here, moving like a CANNONBALL. I opened up the package, but there was no BILL inside, so I knew it was from Santa.

But I guess I was naughty this year, because the box contained something that fell off of, and was then run over by, a COLTRANE.

So here I have this 200 gram, flat, round, coal-black thing...

...and I'm feeling KIND OF BLUE.

Thank you Santa!!! Woo hoo!!!!
