What'd ya get from your Secret Santa? v.2009

No Coal for me

Santa was good to me...

from the Neil Young Archives, Crazy Horse at the Fillmore 1970, 200 gm QSV

Thank you SS

I received my Secret Santa package in the mail today. I got a new LP by JJ Cale/Eric Clapton "The Road to Escondido". 180 gram/Half Speed Mastered by Stan Ricker. YEEHAW!!!! I can't wait to give it a spin or two or a hundred. Thank you SS, who ever you are. I know your real name, but not your AK user name. So please step-up and let me say thank you. Awesome!!!

Ashamedly, I didn't get my recipients package mailed out until today. No excuse other than I am a disorganized mess. It should get there before Christmas, but probably not by the 18th. Sorry for being tardy with my mailing.

I was soooo excited this afternoon, I finally got the last part of the gift I'm sending to my SS recipient. I wrapped the items up, boxed it up securely and went to the PO first before picking up the kid at his after school program. I pull up to the PO, walk inside all ready to pay my money to send this out and .... right before I get to the inner door the guy locks it and points to the #*@!* sign that says "Hours: 8AM--4:45PM". :sigh:

Major bummer, man. It will go out first thing tomorrow.

Well, I finally got it out. I sure hope my recipient is a fan of Mel Torme. The guy is a genius I tell ya. Skippity-skip-bop-bob.

Got home from work about and hour ago.FEDEX dropped a package off sometime after I left for work yesterday afternoon.Just added another RCA Red Seal to my collection.:thmbsp:Sweet.Thanks Santa.:D

Thanks Yager - you're the bomb!

And thanks again Ernie. Merry Christmas to all.

Pete

I have a larger one and the thing is way too much fun. Our dogs just ignore it but the non stop yappers next door think it is going to carry them away and run like hell when I fly it.:thmbsp:

Santa sent me a seminal treatise on our obsession, "High Fidelity Techniques", by John H. Newitt, which I look forward to reading!

He also included some lovely and apparently bullet resistant NOS tube shields in a couple of sizes are sure to find their way into a project worthy of TOTL parts.

Merry Christmas and thank you, Secret Santa!

I got a gift certificate from music direct. I had never been in the site before and they sell something for just about anyone. It was the perfect gift for me. Now I can buy a few of those new tubes people keep talking about that I always refuse to spend money on since I have so many vintage ones. Thanks a bunch Clyde.

On a side note, my recipient should be getting his soon. It is en route. Not positive about the 18th, but should be close. OR to AZ shouldn't take too long.
