What's your best thrift store speaker score?

I was joking with friends about maybe finding a JBL Paragon at Good Will, but I'm willing to bet that somewhere, a Paragon has found its way to a GW or SA. Stranger things have happened. Doubt anyone here has found a Paragon in a thrift store, but I bet some really awesome finds have been made.

I know there will be better, but my best score is a set of 5 NHT Super Zeroes, SW1P and MA-1 amp for $25. 3 in black, 2 in white, even!

Haven't had a major score, but some good prices anyway...and not at a thrift store but a pawn shop. Found my KEF 103.2's at a pawn shop. They were asking like $360 which is a fair price but not a score. Traded them a Bose Wave Radio and $150. Since the Bose sound was doing "nothing" for me at the time, I considered it a pretty good score to get the speakers for $150 cash. And those speakers are what really launched my hi-fi obsession...er, passion...for better or worse!

Other than that, best "deal" I got was some Apogee speakers for $175, but that was a Craigslist deal.

I know there are some on here who have scored AR3's and such at pawn shops...also old $$$ Altec or Western Electric or Tannoy speakers stuffed in nondescript cabinets...lucky dogs!

Nothing, unless we can count a pair of beat up Beovox cabinets with the crossovers still inside. Which I rescued and gave away.

A pair of seemingly unknown "Thunderbird Power PS.320" speakers made in Vancouver BC. $8 bucks for the pair, and probably the best speakers I have. Huge cabinets for a 5.5 inch woofer, with great bass and smooth, natural treble.

Canton Plus XL or close to that. 5-1/2" two way, metal drivers, ported in very nice condition. $10. But done better at garage sales.

Suprisingly I have not had a great score on a pair of speakers at a thrift. The closest thing was a set of Altec Valencias for $345 that I restored and sold for $850.
Passed onba pair of speakers once that I regret I did. Vortex Screens.

I've NEVER found anything but absolute crap around here. There is one local guy who must have an in with all of them in this area. He has a warehouse full of vintage electronics. A few times he's tried selling the whole lot for more than twice what my house is worth...

Probably a Stephens FR80. They had a pair of beat to hell night stands on the floor for $10. One had the Stephens in it, the other was empty. They gave me a pretty goofy look when I just wanted the one but was willing to pay full price...

That thrift prices audio sky high so this one slipped through the cracks.

You're in CL?

These Electrovoice Regency III's from '56 found about 8 years ago for $50 at a GW . . . still in my possession.
