I'm using them in four ohm mode. They claim 220 watts each. I seriously doubt that, but they are more than loud enough for my purposes. Especiall using one for each woofer. They're only $70 each. https://www.amazon.com/Subwoofer-Amplifier-Integrated-Fosi-Audio/dp/B07L6FN97Z
I’m going to try the 100W version for my DQ-1W in the hope it requires less frequent level adjustment than the 100W Dayton plate amp driving it now. I’m tired of getting on all fours. At least it’ll be way easier for $50.
I am very much going to order and try this vs the big+heavy PA amp I have on sub duty now.
Across which frequency range does the Sub Frequency knob sweep? To set the upper cutoff frequency I assume?
Asking because Fosi doesn't mention it in their documentation.

Some sources suggest it sweeps from 20Hz to 200Hz, which would be more than sufficient.
Knowing the rolloff curve would be nice too, but I'll try it ony a normal speaker first before I mess up one of my subs.

Yeah. I was going to get plates, but I got one of those separate types for the old subwoofer and it worked so well, I'm done with plates. I suppose they're handy if you're using speaker outputs to feed the subs...

I honestly don't know. I set it by ear. I turn off the mains and adjust the sub frequency until it loses that mid-bass hump. I'm a bass player, so I have a fairly good ear for the bass frequencies. However, for the higher frequencies, I now use hearing aids...
They also have low level inputs. I’ve never used those high level inputs.

Yes. 6bq5, 12ax7. Similar to a Sherwood s5000. Yes. Odd thing: all capacitors are at or within 5% of stated value and their esr is at .50 or less, even the cans! Hard to believe. I don't trust them, though.

Ya, I wouldn't trust any old electrolytics or paper caps myself. Nice amp though. One of my EL84 amps is my favorite out of all my tube amps.
They're just great sounding tubes. So are those Russian 6P14P-EV's!
I have them in all three of my EL84 amps now.
Are you going to have or make a face plate for it?
Can't find an original and wouldn't know how start making one without researching it, so it looks like it's going to stay that way for now. Looking for knobs, though. Currently recapping and changing resistors. Did sound pretty good at 80vac using 160watt dim bulb and before the bulbs increased their glow.

It should sound a whole lot better once you get it sorted and can run it at the voltages it was meant to run at. It looks ljke a fun project.
When I build equipment I just use a label maker to label tubes, controls and such. I use a lot of the clear tape.
