Picked up this Ampapa D1 from Douk Audio about a month ago. My 1st foray into Class D amplifiers. This, like many others, is TI3255 based. Even though I don't use a sub the High Pass Filter is helpful for not over driving the bottom end on my pair of MarkAudio 6" full rangers. The D1 can be a tad strident with blues/jazz guitars through the MA all metal drivers.. A boost on a small tube preamp helps to mitigate this. I'm surprised that my favorite pairing for this amp, so far, has been with a pair of 2-way E-V Aristocrats. Other than a 20W/ch Class A clone, the E-V's have had a difficult time finding favor with my SS equipment.
Picked up a project at the recent Frankenfest gathering, a Magnavox 8604 console pull. Plan on doing a Dave Gillespie DG-SE1 upgrade. The amplifier came with the replacement P-T31 output transformers. The remaining parts needed arrived today, except for the 50 ohm pots. Instead of cramming everything on the original chassis, a slightly larger hammond should do the trick.

How are your impressions after a while now? 32-Bit/192kHz for less that 60 bucks..
So far so good. I am well pleased. I need to try one in a different better system though just to see how good it really sounds.
I used to stay away from the cheaper Chinese stuff, however over the last few years I've noticed a gradual increase in quality.
Now is it as good as say a Universal Audio Volt 276, Doubt it, but it does what I need it to. I actually wanted the 276, however that was out of my budget.

My new Classic Audio JBL 150-4C woofers with Original NOS Jensen Paper cones, re-gaussed, rewired, re-terminaled. Would have them installed already but Home Depot / Lowes and Hardware store did not have the machine screws needed to mount them. The speaker frames are tapped for 5/16"x18 Thread and the screws need to be 2.75 inches long. These things are heavy. They weigh 27 pounds each vs the Klipsch K33 square magnets 15's that weigh 14 pounds and used 10x28 screws.
When you tap on the cone it just make s a thud. I am pretty excited about these.
Off on a quest to find machine screws tomorrow. These will be installed in my "Klipschfield " speakers, with the new TSCM cabinets in place. (Theater Stage Cinema Monitor)

ART 341 EQ. Had it in my system for about a week. Too harsh for me. Disconnected. I realize I'm a 'flat' guy with sound. I like to hear the amp without anything added. Not even bass & treble. Currently have my favorite amp in my system......the Carver M-1.0t. Loving it!
Bought a pre-owned Topping D 50 to replace the now flaking out E 30, in my office system. Can't say it sounds better. I need to play with the filter options.

Already breaking them down to clean up and repair the cabinets. Missing lenses and grills but I'm a grill off listener anyways.
I believe I may attempt the 4333 mod for a nice 3 way set up.
Metal grills where the first thing to go into the trash.
I also found the build/order sheet paper work stuck inside of one of the cabinets.
All drivers work and are original.
