A friend asked me to post about these, as he might be able to get them for a decent price.

Any info about these, or dating possible? He says he thinks the tweeters are EV T35.

  • Look for the Serial Number: On utility Klipschorns of this era, the serial number is typically hammer-stamped into the wood tailboard, inside the lower woofer access door, or somewhere within the rear/woofer chambers.
  • Decoding the Stamp:
    • 1948–1961: Usually a 3 or 4-digit sequential number (e.g., starting around 0121 up into the thousands), which requires referencing Klipsch’s factory log books.
    • 1962–1983: Klipsch used a letter code in the middle of the serial number to represent the year (e.g., A = 1962, B = 1963, continuing through the alphabet where C=1964, D=1965, E=1966, F=1967, etc., skipping the letter I).
  • If that doesn't help contact the Klipsch Museum in Hope, Ak.

Tweeters do appear to be t35. Horn drivers look to be university with no back covers. Crossover is there.

Don't sleep on these...
