Who Says All Canadians Are Nice & Peaceful?

Don't lump us all together now. Most of us do the proper thing, and get our pork from places like Safeway.
At least that's what I did today. Two racks of back ribs are doing the low and slow thing right now.:)

Some years ago, my parents did something similar,
they received an unwanted animal,
they lived on 20 acres,
it was a cow,
called Angus.
However, Angus never tried a B&E.

I guess things are a bit more relaxed in rural Australia.

Edit: we call them livestock, not pets.

Yeah but I don't think Angus came from the SPCA. You don't adopt an animal as a pet and then eat it!

Yeah I bet that pig was trying to break in. I suppose Molly saw them unpacking the BBQ sauce and threw herself against the glass to get a full body rub. Yeah right. It was their excuse to murder that poor pig.

And exactly how were the authorities investigating to see that Molly had been murdered "humanely"? Sure people were involved, so that is one definition. But they cut that poor pig up and cooked it, so what evidence is there that she died painlessly?

It's a conspiracy I tell you! This is why there is a Porkanista Revolution. Pigs must unite and fight for their right to exist!

Yes, you're correct,
no adoption, or supervisory body involved.

I am guessing that some people don't realise the consequences of placing farm animals into a domestic setting.

In the situation of this news article, the owner should have looked at other options to solve the problem they got into.

My mom and aunts would get bunnies for Easter in the 30s that would be their pets. Well until they had meat in the spaghetti sauce, grandma would tell them it was chicken.

Poor Molly ... My mom grew up on a dairy farm. She always told me they never name the animals - even though they were not raised for slaughter, they were part of the family business which is a lot different than a pet. She was dead set against animal cruelty ... I suppose she saw a lot of unpleasant stuff as a kid. I always thought she was a bit of a softie until we raised chickens for a few years. At the end of the first season, I had gotten somewhat attached to the chickens - maybe without realizing it. It came time to slaughter them and she sent me up to kill two of them. I dicked around for 30 minutes but I just couldn't do it. She finally walks up behind me and in one swift move - grabbed the chicken - spun it around and broke its neck then chopped it's head off. No horror movie could have prepared me for that. For weeks I couldn't get the sound out of my head.

I knew then the farm life wasn't for me - I think it was at that point in my life I stopped talking back (gulp)

If you ever need a place the hideout - you're safe with me Mister Pig.

Gosh... If I could only expound without getting banned from the AK website.
I'll just say that if any American wishes to exchange citizenship documents, I'd be all in...
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!

Eh I am Canadian and American. I am a multi cultural pig. Although I lived in the US since I was 2.

in case you didnt know, since the advent of social media and reality TV, a frightening number of USA citizens have discovered ways to be weird, stupid and dangerously annoying. I for one, would like to see stronger deportation laws to send them *somewhere*
