I just tried but I am probably too late. There is some guy in the area who seems to have accomplices who scan all the ads. Actually, there are two that I know of. Doubtful I will get them. The wife would be SO HAPPY for me.

Reminds me of the ad about 5 years ago where some guy said his father passed away who lived in the Bethesda area. The guy was stuck with JBL Summits, Mac tube pre and amp and Thorens TD-124 all for $3000.

Whoever gets these speakers will probably either find that it is a scam or will have an option for even more gear at stupid prices.

Was the Yamaha B-1 considered "2nd tier" in it's day? I thought it was TOTL. I'm assuming the seller has more than just yamaha and JBLs if what he says is true.

FWIW, he's edited his ads to up the prices to $5000 for the JBLs and $1000 for the Yamaha kit. Says some folks emailed him & told him what they were worth.
