Well I give you a short , very logically, and testable explanation.
A video clip has 2 big parameters for video quality:
1 is resolution ( HD, Full HD)
2 bitrate (Mbps)
A lower resolution with a higher bitrate can have a better video quality than a higher resolution with a lower bitrate.
Is the same with audio I think.
This may be the cause for Yamaha speakers with 12" woofers to compensate and give us the perfection of sound.
Another big plus is the Natural Sound. This neutral sound others sey is a clinical , metallic but there is also an explanation for this. What we hear at the radio and CD,s , streaming services ,mp3, is a very compressed sound (see loudness war on youtube) with little dynamics (this is the metallic sound, clinic) (Also metallic sound result it may be because of faulty components on that amp, receiver) .So the Yamaha Natural Sound amplification what will be from those crappy compreses source material?
Another question is what speakers, or headset, headphone will buy if the amp, receiver has warm sound. Because warm amp + warm speakers, I don't know if is a good combination. (result is a dark sound?)
Conclusion: Natural Sound don't alter the sound, if we play good source of material the results will be brilliant, dynamic, smooth, detailed, distortion free, noise free, warm sound ( yes warm sound , this must depending by recording how was done by sound engineers not at result of amplification)
Oh, almost I forgot... Variable Loudness Control... I cannot imagine an amp or receiver without this. (One button on/off switch for loudness ... what's that? )
