WIMA 1uM caps??

I am in the process of restoring a Marantz 2238b and noticed that some of the WIMA caps I got are labeled 1uM 63 instead of 1uF 63. Are these 1 microfarad or ?? Never seen these before and can't find info on them on the internet.

M should mean +/- 20%. It would be a 1μF 63V cap.

You can find Wima data sheets at your regular parts suppliers website to confirm.

Thanks Blue Shadow. It was a little tough do determine exactly what this was searching Digikey/Mouser. Would there be much concern with putting a 20% in the tone/preamp section?

EDIT: Never mind. Service manual calls for 20% so all good.

Yeah the 20% is fine but you'll find it's really much closer anyway.

First cap listed Data Sheet and I got this

page 2 of the link (page 49 of the catalog where this was sourced) bottom right talks to the letter designation of the ±tolerance.

The letter tolerance codes are an industry standard.

Yes, thank you! I did end up finding that last night. New at this so didn't know the standard. When I searched for WIMA 1uM63 I got absolutely no results, which was confusing. Got it all figured out though. Cheers.
