Wow, I didn't know they were touring again. I saw the original Tour around Side Four Live in 2007-8.
Julie and Eric Slick were a couple of the graduates of the Philly Local School of Rock. Julie was also in a documentary called Rock School.
The night I saw them, Eric had already performed half the day at a Battle of the Bands competition, but still had enough energy to blow away most of today's drummers.
Julie is a very good Bassist, although not quite in same league as Tal Wilkenfield. I love how she plays the lines from Elephant Talk on her Lakland 5 String when it was created on a Chapman Stick.
The night I saw them I also got to hang out and talk with Eric and Julie's Mother, who is also a very cool mom.

Would love to see this, but nothing remotely close to my area.
Kind of off topic but maybe interesting..... Back in the early 90's I moved to Champaign IL. First time into a used record store just north of campus i pick up a copy of 'Lone Rhino'. Reading liner notes (try doing that with yer cds) and notice a couple of tracks were recorded in champaign (Doo doo Doo doo). Later that day i go to buy some guitar strings and mention it to the guy in the store and he says "yeah, recorded upstairs in this building. used to be a pretty thriving music scene in town, but pretty dead now."
any way. that's my adrian belew story. one of those coinkydinks that happen sometimes when you're new in the champaign..
