Ok, I'm the guilty party. After some discussion with
@Hunleyj, a mutually agreeable transaction was made in which I bought this unit to finish the restoration. It just made it into my bench a couple of days ago (dammit this thing is heavy) and I have only begun to work on removing the remaining epoxy mess, which is slow, painstaking work.
I will, in due course, get the amp modules and other boards out and in the clear for extensive detail photography so that
@fojica can hopefully work up a good set of schematics. I'll need to pull all the MOSFETs to test, as it failed the DBT when
@Hunleyj tested it, as he previously posted. I have located a trustworthy source for replacement OE MOSFETs (a couple of suppliers, actually) so if any are perished, I'll be replacing them with identical new devices.
Aside from that, despite a phenomenal packing job done before it was sent to me, FedEx managed to damage the glass panel even more (not that it really mattered, it was already destroyed) and I'm missing one small knob, and have another with damaged finish, so will need to find some suitable knobs to replace them. Since it is unlikely I'll find original factory parts, I'm slogging through tons of ebay listings for black anodized knobs to find some with the correct size and look. Have a couple of candidates as possibilities, but haven't pulled the trigger yet on those.
Assuming all else goes well, I'll have the broken glass panel reproduced. I have the skills and resources locally to get that done, but won't bother spending funds on that portion of the job until the amp is proven to be working. I'll probably do some sort of mockup on paper or transparency just for testing purposes until then.
