Priced at 16k I don't know if it would drive the cost up that much? I will listen with an open mind but spending 16k on mdf constructed speakers will be an up hill battle for me.:yes: I have heard some of the wilsons (the sophia2 is one of my favorites in this price range) and other mfrs that use non wood at least in the mid and tweeter sections and I have been most impressed but like I said I will listen with an open mind.

Have never been a fan of McIntosh speakers. But the 200 is out of this world. MDF or not...

What do you mean by "200 is out of this world?"

Seriously, I would have very little chance to audition this pair of speakers as the local dealer dont seem to bring in McSpeakers except for XRT1k's, XRT2K's and the lower end stuff. No middle range as he pushes the Opera's.

Your feedback is very valuable to me.
