When you say disassembled you mean piece by piece? Litteraly? Or just remove them from the front plate and spray them in several directions from the front Gap?Slide switches need to be disassembled.

I would. They are really not that tough tp clean , once you have a couple under the belt.Should do the other switches?
Well .. That is not very clear..I conneted it to a power amp through pre Out and the sound is defected as well. Exactly like using Yamaha as power. Witch, as you say excludes power amp boards.

The main point of the link was the use of Ultrasonic Cleaning.OK. Tomorrow will try to do them all.

@Yamaha5000 - Thanks for the link. No idea they were silver plated. I have passed some 1000 sandpaper. Hope didn't remove the silver.

I understand. But that's more difficult for me. Don't have the Ultrasonic device. Anyway, I think that after beeing disassembled, its not that hard to reach every corners.The main point of the link was the use of Ultrasonic Cleaning.
