I see you've made room for those Large Advents I'll be trading you for the IMFs there... :thmbsp:

I must say, I love the heart-shaped reel-to-reel cover you got there in the backround.... :smlove:

I like your creativity Greg! I bet those sound, uh, interesting :thmbsp: Actually, I'd really like to hear those.

As a side note, holy $hit, I just realized how big your IMF's are next to those Yammies.

What purpose does it serve to attach the tweeter wires on the left speaker to the face of that TV CRT? Additional capacitance?

thanks guys! :)

The MkIII's are almost the size of small fridges. :yikes: tdh, I bought that original Akai D/C offa the ol' grumpmeister, gave me a good deal on her too! :thmbsp: And NO you aint gettin my IMF's! :D The YamaHeils are working very well, alittl4e on the bright side for my tastes, but they don't sound half-bad whatsoever!

lol Y B-2, the wires are soild, not stranded and they're sticking up...it's an optical illusion.

Yamaha B-2 - Did you get your second pair yet? :scratch2:
Were picked up by fellow AKer 'brainsmasher' this very morning. Won't have for at least another couple of months (after my move in July). Actually, they are the NS-1000 and not the 'M' (monitor).

well, I never heard the JA-0513's, but the Heils are excellent, they probably sound better than stock! :naughty:

Those look really cool like that and nothing wrong with trying something different. At least it takes up less space than my former Magnepan Quantum 2s (big pair of Maggies MG-Is hooked through the Infinity crossover to serve duty as the midrange in place of the then shot midrange domes) -- Wall o' Sound.

If you're looking to try alternative tweeters in those Yamahas, I can't help but wonder if there isn't a good ribbon tweeter that you could drop in place of the original dome tweets? Might actually be an improvement on the design?

thanks charivari! I needed to test them as they're listed in the classifieds and an AK member is interested, I grabbed the easiest tweeters I had for that. I never did get to hear them with the original tweets! :(
