And what is your preferred SYSTEM when listening for pleasure, rather than business?
In ZilchLab, I'm running on my test system, which is Sony X303ES CD player and JBL Pro 6210 40-Watt, well, call them "Monoblocks," if you're feeling charitable. Once it gets serious, it's usually 6230 or 6260 without the nest of cables that are standard in test mode.
My "Reference" system at home for the last 20 years has been JBL 4430s, presently on Sony ES separates. They're the root of all this, and the beginnings of the E'Wave saga are fully documented over on LHF. It got so big that it had to be split into two threads with a table of contents:

I finished up a new PC board E'Wave crossover to replace the ZilchNutz™ prototype for the Selenium "Piano" LE14H-3 system, and that's playing the second channel, with BMS MegaWave and LE14A the first. :thmbsp:

]I'd tune lower, ~25 Hz, which reduces the boom to 2.0 dB. F6 rises a bit to 32 Hz, but it'll take full power down to 25 Hz. 4" vent length is 15.75", but I'd make that happen with an elbow.
Overall, we're talkin' ass-kicking performance in this alignment.
According to the sims, anyway....

Maybe too much bass......... is there such a thing as too much ? ........ I think I'm there 
I've got the majority of the port length sticking out the back of the cabinets as the elbow interferes with internal bracing. That puts it pretty close to the wall.I think I need to spend some time now measuring the bass response at my listening position and get a general idea of effect the room is having. With the DCX2496 I can make some adjustments :scratch2:

You've got both room rise and boundary reinforcement going on at the very low end there.
Experimentally, move them out from the wall ~2 feet, and elevate them at least 6" off the floor. See if that doesn't alter the perceived bass response significantly.... :yes:

Parts came in 1 week! But I'm still I'm waiting for the horns from MCM although I'm not even sure they were shipped yet (no email saying they were shipped). Woofers are refoamed, but waiting for dustcaps from JBL. Time to build crossovers. Did you know that a single Pioneer HPM 60 crossover (the lesser version, not the one with the cast basket woofer) has a nice set of iron core 1.5 AND a 2.0 mH chokes in it, along with two pretty good L=pads? So I've got enough parts to build the LE14 and the regular crossover
